About
IPDJ, I.P. is the national public body organisation responsible to support the definition, execution and evaluation of the public policy of sport and youth in Portugal. In addition, IPDJ has the mission to promote the generalization of sport (Sport for All), support regular physical activity and sport practice and develop high-performance sports through technical, human, knowledge and financial resources. Furthermore, the preservation of ethics in sport will be also one of the essential scopes of the organisation.
Main Organization Activities:
IPDJ
- Implementation of integrated and decentralized policies for the areas of sport and youth;
- Definition, implementation and evaluation of public policy in sport;
- Promotion and generalization of the physical activity and sport;
- Support regular physical activity and sport practice and develop national high performance sport through the provision of technical, human and financial resources;
- Contribute to promote education and preservation of ethics in sport;
- Support to associations, volunteering and promoting citizenship,leisure activities, non-formal education, information and thegeographic mobility of young people in Portugal and abroad
- Revitalize the youth travel, particularly with regard to the network of youth hostels and youth card, in order to increase mobility, with gains in efficiency and economy.
