AIMS AND OBJECTIVES

 

The European Sport Model for Inclusion

The realization of this study, as part of Output 2, aims at two major objectives: the first will be to design and elaborate the “European Model for Inclusion in Sport” for persons with disabilities and, secondly, to design and elaborate “Guide (s) to Implementing the European Model for Inclusion in Sport”.

The objectives of the design of the respective research model (s) Guide (s) for its implementation has as the target audience persons with disabilities, aged from birth to the age of 35.

The design of the Model and its Guide (s) are intended for four sectors of the Sports Political System or the organized Sports Structure: Health, Education, Municipalities and Sports Clubs.

The key aims of the study are as follows:

  • Present the main models of inclusion in sport at international level and in the EU;
  • Present the status of inclusion at Sport Policy level;
  • Present the status of inclusion at the level of the Sport System and the Structure of Organized Sport;
  • Present the status of inclusion in the scope of Sport Participation.

The specific objectives of the study are to:

  • Elaborate the Guide for implementation of the European Inclusion in Sport, for the Health Sector;
  • Elaborate the Guide for implementation of the European Inclusion in Sport, for the Education Sector;
  • Elaborate the Guide for implementation of the European Inclusion in Sport, for the Municipality Sector;
  • Elaborate the Guide for implementation of the European Inclusion in Sport, for the Sports Organisations Sector (Sports Clubs, Associations and Federations).
